History
"This ring of holly trees stands as a living memorial to each of the six Henderson men—five students and a teacher—who lost their lives in World War I: S2c Jerry G. Collins, U.S.N.R.; Sgt. Jesse C. Joyner, A.E.F.; Pvt. Robert W. Jackson, A.E.F.; Pvt. Jack D. Tidball, A.E.F; Pvt. Murray M. Moore, S.A.T.C.; 2Lt. James “Pat” Crowe, A.E.F. Air Service. May the memory of their service remain eternal as the holly."
